This is the tech specs for the LG Optimus Vu 2

For Koreans, it seems that size does matter. After the successful launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note and the imminent arrival of the Note 2, we finally have an announcement by LG for the tech specs of their own phablet’s new version, the Optimus Vu 2. The size remains at 5 inches, the IPS screen’s aspect ratio is 4:3, with a resolution of 1024x768.

So, LG announced that the device integrates a redesigned dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz. It will feature 2 GB of RAM, a 2150 mAh battery, and an 8 MP rear camera, accompanied by a front-facing 1.3 MP camera.

The LG Optimus Vu 2 launches in Korea as an LTE device, but works just as well in GSM networks used by the rest of the world. It features a thinner stylus than its predecessor, the Rubberdium Pen 2.0, which is more precise, in theory. The out-of-the-box operating system is Android Ice Cream Sandwich, without a mention of Jelly Bean or when will this be possible.

Its price in Korea will be 967.000 won (675 euros), which is especially expensive for a phablet. Surely, the price will undergo changes when its release is announced for America and Europe, but it will be interesting to find out by how much.
