Inspired by stage sets used in theater plays, Yo! Home is the most special residence you could ever imagine.
In essence, it’s an alternative philosophy about what an urban apartment could be like, taking better advantage of space than you are used to, with rooms that can be “hidden” when not used. The most special example of his designs is the “elevator bed” which can be lifted to the roof, revealing a living room below.
Yo! Home is an idea by Simon Woodroffe, the man behind Yo! Sushi and Yotel. It was premiered a few days ago, in a design expo, in London, and is actually consists of 12 moving parts. 4 rooms (living room, bedroom, kitchen/dining room and office, plus two cinemas and one separate room for guests or study), all in an apartment space of 80 square meters.
It’s a particularly ambitious enterprise that is still on the planning stage, which we would however like to see moving further than just a creative idea.
