The surprise resignation of Pope Benedict XVI was the cause of million posts on the internet, but this one is unprecedented. Someone with a lot of humor had an idea to ask for applications for this position, through Craigslist.
So, a job offer was posted about “Bishop of Rome / Successor of Saint Peter / Holy See / Pontifex / The Pope”. The description goes on in an even more extreme way, “please note that this position is highly competitive, with applications expected from superstars including Beyonce”.
Right then. We are standing before one more epic moment on the internet. And we really like it, even if none of us is qualified to replace the Pontiff. Between you and us, Beyonce isn’t either, but we believe she can live through this.
