43 Seconds. This is the time that the lift will need to climb 95 floors of the CTF Finance Center in Guangzhou, China which is under construction and will be built by Hitachi. The building will have 111 floors in total, however the lift which is prepared by Hitachi, will take less than a minute with 72.4 km/h to climb 95 floors! The Japanese build a tower (the famous G1 TOWER) in 2010, 213 meters high specifically for such tests!
The CTF Finance Center is expected to be completed in 2016, when we will know if the record for the fastest lift will go to Hitachi. At the moment, however, the record belongs (apparently for 2 years more) to Toshiba for a lift in the Taipei 101 building, a skyscraper in Taiwan with 61.15 km/h for raising and lowering.
We hope to see other companies like Peugeot, Subaru and Audi evolving technology the same way…
