Sony announced a new Vaio laptop that targets those who want a computer which combines portability and the ability to run the latest videogames. It’s the E14P model, with a 14-inch screen, featuring a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It integrates an AMD Radeon HD 7670M graphics chipset with 1 GB of video RAM, along with an Intel GMA HD 3000, which you can use for gaming unrelated tasks, in order to save power.
The sound chip takes advantage of Sony’s Xcloud and ClearPhase technologies, as well as the Dolby Home Theater V4 surround technology. The Vaio E14P features a keyboard with backlit keys, as well as a multitouch trackpad which supports gestures. It’s also equipped with a lighting sensor for automatically setting the screen brightness. As for the mainstream hardware, it integrates an Intel Core i3 2350M processor at 2.3 GHz, 4 GB DDR3 memory at 1333 MHz and a 500 GB hard disk. It has the 64bit version of Windows 7 Home Premium, preinstalled.
