According to info, the Koreans just announced the mass production of LPDD3 3GB RAM mobile memories, that – thanks to their 0,8 mm thickness – can be used in all future smartphones, leaving more free space for their batteries.
Samsung’s new 3GB DRAM uses six from the smallest 4GB LPDDR3 industry chips in a symmetric construction (two sets of 3 chips) that have only 0.8 mm thickness and data transfer speeds of 2.133Mbps per pin. This RAM will be used in all smartphones planned for the second half of the year and one of them without a doubt is obviously Samsung’s Galaxy Note III!
